Admissions staff will obtain appropriate information from the patient to determine their needs prior to entering the program. Admission assessments are reviewed by treatment team members to determine appropriate level of care. If the patient does not meet criteria for residential treatment, we will provide a referral to the appropriate level of care.
Within 72 hours of admission the patient will meet with a clinical therapist to gather a thorough history. This includes review of the individual’s life history, family history, network of social support, strengths and weaknesses and goals for treatment.
This is a 90 minute, gender specific process group in which patients share their assignments and process individual issues in a group setting. This group ideally will not exceed 10 patients and will meet five times per week.
Patients meet with their primary therapist for individual therapy each week.
Family therapy is a branch of psychotherapy in which couples and families work together to nurture change and development. Family health is an important aspect to psychological functioning. Family therapy is offered to patients and their families as needed.
Physical exercise is any activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Upon medical clearance the patient population will be offered access to a fitness area a minimum of two times per week. Patients will be monitored by a program tech during this time.
Relapse is the process of returning to a former state of behavior. Often times, relapse is a part of the process of addiction. Education will be provided on the nature of the relapse process. Patients will be offered skills and tools to help cope with relapse triggers more effectively. This educational group will be offered 4 times per week and talked about on a continual basis.ime.
Treatment is the beginning of the recovery journey. This group offers patients an opportunity to identify their needs, resources and commitment to the next phase of recovery.
The twelve step program is based on a set of guiding principles outlining a course of action for recovery from addictive processes. Patients will be educated on the importance of the twelve step program. In-house twelve step meetings will be offered daily and patients will be taken to off campus meetings 4-5 times per week.
